First ever 6k

Slowly trying to get up to 10k and it seems to be going ok. This week, I’m not sure what happened but not only did I do 6k, which I’ve never done before, but I also did it in less time than I normally do 5k. 6k in 36 mins. I was so over the moon. Haven’t been out again yet but I’m hoping I can keep this up.

Congratulations to you Dangiletta on running that 6K quicker than you ran your recent 5K which amounts to a sub 30 minute 5K if you just ran that distance, your speed is improving with every run, well done.

Fantastic effort, that’s a phenomenal time for your st 6k. Your goal of 10k is perfectly possible. Keep up the speed work for short runs and slow down a bit on the longer runs. Happy running 🤗

That's a truly great time Danglietta, remember that the further distances will require se Running fuel and remember to hydrate, even though it's getting cooler we still need to take on fluids 👍

Today I went out again expecting good things but I only managed to do 5k in 37 mins. Comparing that to what l I did today with Monday, it was a different route, it was at lunch time and I had eaten more vs today in the morning with only a bananas and berry smoothie.

Different days are a factor in so many ways Danglietta, the times, routes, the weather what we've eaten during the day, mostly I try to run after a light breakfast, I've only ran later in the day a handful of times, you've still accomplished another 5k 👍
