Back from our hols, spent 2 days doing all the washing and just about back and sorted. And did I need a break?! Not sure I realised just how much!! Only got in the car once in 12 days, just lots of walking (miles added to LEJOG β), playing on the beach and probably too much eating (but that's what holidays are for isn't it π). Still no running but keeping up with the calf strengthening exercises, achilles is definitely getting better although still not a 100% yet. I'm going to start the James Dunne 30 day strengthening challenge to work on improving overall strength.
Sorry I've missed so much of your progress and updates, I'm playing catch up π hope you're all enjoying your autumnal runs, it's a great time of the year ππ

We'd had it booked since January and had everything crossed π€ didn't actually believe we'd get away until a couple of days before but thankfully we did and less than 12 hours after the drive back up North we're in tier 3 lockdown π€¦ββοΈ
Glad that you enjoyed your holiday and added walks to LeJog, not so good to came back to a large washing but I am sure that the holiday did you a world of good, need a break.
It won't be too long before you can get out for a run.
I am enjoying my Autumn running, I am thinking of running on Wednesday, that's my mid-week run for 2 3/4 hours and see how far I get, it might be about 18K, I have not run any distance recently so I am due a longer run, I am thinking I will start running at 8.15 am and stop at exactly 11 am, could be an interesting run regarding distance, I usually run my Saturday morning 5K (not) parkrun with my metronome app at 175 cadence, steps a minute, this Wednesday I'll set it at 165 and see how it goes.
Your Wednesday run sounds very exciting, looking forward to seeing how far you get. You can treat yourself to a very large piece of cake after that π
Sorry GTFC and Mum22boys, I have just had a call from the gas people, on Wednesday they are coming for a gas maintenance check, I will have to stay in and go nowhere, they are coming sometime between 9 am and 4 pm, I will go my long run next Wednesday a little earlier because with the clocks going back one hour that gives an extra hour of daylight in the morning.
Welcome back M22B! A battery recharge and it sounds like you really enjoyed it. π₯° Iβm glad your Achilles is slowly on the mend. Youβll be back before long, and in the meantime enjoy your progression to JOG! π
Lovely to have you back Mum22boys!! π€Donβt worry about doing less. We all experience that. Missed you!! π
If it makes you feel any better, it was to be my first run of the week today, but Iβm flat out in this new job and definitely not getting enough down time yet. So my morning run is now a pretty tired evening run/walk (hopefully).
Congratulations on your new job π I bet there's lots to learn and take in so well done you for getting out there at all! Hope you enjoyed your evening walk/run
Hey π how are you? Things still heading, slowly, in the right direction π still doing lots of strength work and done 9 days of James Dunne's 30 day strength challenge (I don't have the time to do them every day). Life has generally been a bit busy so totally out of touch with what everyone's been up to π€¦ββοΈ
Well done because you're doing all you can. You'll be back and all you're doing now, when you can, will underpin it all πππ
