Anyone else starting on JuJu’s plan? I am doing week one this week as I’ve booked a 10k in May. Last year a run/walked it after no training and I really want to run all of it this time.
I have taken the runs in a different order and did the 5.5k run yesterday, it’s the furthest I’ve ever run without a walk, I felt so chuffed. Really looking forward to extending to 6k next week but first my short run of 2.5k tomorrow.
I’m going to try the short run as an interval. Does anyone have an app/podcast suggestions. I’ve downloaded the c25k speed podcast but have never done it!

I just made the decision today to do the 10k plan. I did my normal 5k run because I had arranged to go with someone else. So I just took it a bit slower. Plan to do the Parkrun on Saturday as the official 5k run them go for 5.5k Monday or Tuesday depends on work/weather/how I feel after the Parkrun! I was thinking of signing up for a 10k run in June or July as motivation but all the local ones I could find seem to be trail running and very hilly. I have only really run on flat tarmac so far!!
I’m doing the Manchester 10k in May. It’s flat and all on the road so hopefully a good one to start with! I’m not sure how I’d manage with rough terrain!
It’s great we’re at the same stage of the plan. Let me know how you get on with it.
Hello Glossy, I’m repeating Ju-Ju’s magic plan to reach 10k again by 23 April and am on W3R2. It’s a brilliant plan so I hope you enjoy it. It’s great that you can choose which run to do to fit in with your life.
I use JogRunSprint for a short run intervals. I think it’s only in the apple store though.
Work always gets in the way! I’m quite lucky as some days I finish by lunchtime (although no two days are the same so hard to plan!). I see the shorter ones don’t stay that short for long ☺️
Hi Glossy! I’m also doing the Manchester 10k in May 😀
It’ll be my first - pleased to hear it’s mainly flat!
I’ve been doing Ju-Ju’s 10K plan and approaching the end of week 6..... a 9k run 😳 gulp!!!!!
I too have found the C25K speed and stamina podcasts useful, as well as the Nike Running Club runs. Some of them are a bit cheesy, but they’re very varied and help the run pass more quickly.
I started a few weeks ago but found I had to mix up the plan a bit to fit into my schedule, and then, through bad planning, I accidentally ran a couple of runs longer than I should have. I should be at week 4/5 and I’m having a little pause here! I tend to find I struggle to get out 3 times in a week so I have dropped the shorter run a few times but I need to make sure I do it, I think: for the speed aspect. My first 10k is in June (along the Leeds/Liverpool canal so very flat!) so I have plenty of time. It’s nice to have the plan there but be able to mix it up a bit and take longer as necessary to suit me. Good luck for your race 👍
