Magic plan nailed

A little under a year after completing c25k, I finished Ju-Ju’s plan and nailed my first 10k. My last 2 runs of 4 and 5k have felt rubbish so I was thrilled to have a nice run in the evening sun and nail the 10k. I guess I might even be able to call myself a runner....all be it a very slow one 😂

You are a runner Markco93, well done on running your first 10K in the heat, I think if it had been a little cooler you would have ran sub 75 minutes which I am sure you will be able to do for your next 10K, congratulations on completing your first 10K

To get your graduation badge and the word GRADUATE10 🎓 next to your username leave a message on the May graduate10 post in the pinned posts on the right side of the healthunlocked Graduate10 homepage and tell the administrators that you have ran your first 10K 🎓 😊 🏃🏾.

Woohoo, that’s fantastic Markco! You’re most certainly a runner. Casually pop that you’ve run 10k into a conversation with a non-runner and watch their expression! (Socially distant of course!)

Be proud. It’s a wonderful achievement. 👍🏃🎉

Well done Marco!

I'm 2 weeks behind you but doing the time so will do my first55mins tomorrow. Having said that the distances have just been below the times on the chart.

Yesterday my 30 mins was rubbish.

My pace is similar to yours so I'm now running slower, better for distance.

So what's next?

😎

Good luck with your run. I’m going to consolidate, based on my 9k runs I reckon I should be able to trim 2-3 minutes off last nights time. Look forward to seeing you graduate 👍

Had to put off Fridays run: very gusty winds, but also felt a tweak in my lower back (an old problem) when getting ready. Its quite sore and stiffening up, so will rest and do some easy walks.

I felt really confident but will now prob re-do wk6 again.☹

Thank you all for the kind comments. Now to work out a consolidation plan for the next 8 weeks. I definitely run better with a plan to work against.

Brilliant running, congratulations on hitting 10k. I’ve just got there too and it feels amazing. We are runners!!! Doesn’t have to be fast or pretty, we’re all out there doing the do and livening it too. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
