Just started Ju Jus magic plan. The short run of 15 minutes felt really strange as now used to running 30 minutes now. Just tried running faster. Has anyone got any other suggestions for the short runs in the plan to mix it up?

Short Run
One way to make it feel “complete” would be to pad it up to 30 minutes with some walking breaks and using it as a run/walk interval run at a slightly above comfortable pace. It’s easier than trying to go there for a whole run. Of you could go fartlek with it, a gentle jog with some random burst of speed.
A progression run? Start if at you’re normal pace, and every 500m increase the pace a little - don’t go too fast but try to run every minute a little faster
Or do intervals!! I love these honestly! You could do 15 minutes of intervals + 5 minutes warm up easy jogging. Either follow a guided run, plan a session yourself, or do a Farrell run ie just go for it whenever you want!! Integrate sprints, slightly slower and longer intervals, hill climbs in which you really push.. so many options!

As I planned to do 60 mins first, I tended to mix the times and distances for runs 1 and 2 as some seemed to me to be to short, but stuck with run3 times. Completed the 8wks ok had an easy 2 wks then did 10k no problem.
Hello, if you are full of beans try various different interval runs.... we’ve listed some ideas in the information station. I often do a fast mile Monday, where I just run it as fast as I can. It’s really energising and I feel great afterwards. Well done on your progress.
