I'm away in the campervan attending a craft course for a few days and I'd really been looking forward to running in a new place. But this morning I woke up with a headache, hoping I might be able to outrun it I still set off just as it started to rain. π§οΈπ Despite not really enjoying it I kept at it - run a bit, walk a bit but after 15 minutes I decided to give it up and I'd still for the headache!
At the end of my course this afternoon I'd decided to head off to a local woodland for a walk. I'd had a really productive day and was feeling much better, so once I'd parked up I did a swift change involving wriggling into me running leggings lying on the floor of my van π and off I trotted.
I've been longing to run in some woods having seen some of my VRB lovely photos so it was just brilliant to finally get out there. As I didn't know this area at all I was a bit worried about getting lost! I only ran for about 20 minutes, walking up some of the hills and to take pictures but the sense of freedom was just wonderful π
So 2 runs in one day that couldn't have been more different.

Well dijep they do say a change is as good as a restπ€£π€£. This does look lovely. Glad you're headache finally gave in and allowed you the run you needed. ππ
Oh how fabulous. A get-away. Enjoy the new running surroundings!
That does sound lovely dijep, (apart from the headache) so glad you felt better at the end of the day and enjoyed that cheese π, those woods look so beautiful.
This morning I was a bit annoyed by how I felt and not doing my scheduled 30 minutes. But then I did exactly as you mention remembered back to February when a minute of running was a struggle. Didn't feel as bad then π
Beautiful woodland dijep. No wonder you felt restored by your second run. Sounds to me like you are living the dream. I can imagine nothing more wonderful than having a campervan and travelling to do something creative on a course. That sort of travelling and exploring is on mine and my husbandβs future plan once our teenagers are away to uni. Enjoy π.
It was beautiful I was just so glad I managed to get that run in such a great spot. I can recommend campervan craft / creative travels, I usually go up to Northumberland several times a year as well. This time I'm near Peterborough and come every year for 3 days of willow weaving and basketry. Hope you and your husband don't have too many years to wait but it'll give you time to plan where to go π
Two runs in one day is pretty impressive no matter how long they were - shows your determination! That's a lovely photo too. I've never run in woods and that one looks gorgeous with that soft carpet of needles or whatever.
