MY OLYMPIC CONTRIBUTION....

I decided with fingers crossed to run 50 minutes first thing with just a cup of tea and a banana beforehand. For those of you who have read my previous posts you will know that what to eat before a run is a bit of a thing for me. I decided on the 50 minutes because I'm competing in the Running Olympics. I put my Table Manners podcast on and set off. I like listening to something I have to concentrate on because it makes me forget to think about my pace which then falls into a natural rhythm. I found it tough at times because it was up and down a bit but I'm definitely noticing that my breathing is getting easier. In fact I looked to see how I was getting on and saw that I had just 2 minutes left and I was at 7.6 k and managed to pick up my pace. Decided that I'd do the 8k even if I went over the 50 minutes.

On my way back to my car doing my cool down walk a lovely cyclist slowed down to ask if I was ok which restored my faith in human nature after hearing about greedy people and toilet rolls all week.

Happy running and stay safe and well everyone!

Well done 59er, that’s a fabulous time. 👏👏

Good for you. Keep running and stay safe. 😀

That is a strong run with your excellent natural pace. Well done. There is just something about finishing a run with a feeling you wish you could bottle. Eau de Euphoria? 😂

That sounds really fast to me, i was creeping along today though due to the uneven terrain, back to smooth pavements next time

Well done, fab run, keep safe and well

I have to say this was along a fairly unattractive road although there were hills all around. Your run sounds a lot prettier!

Thank you. I remember when I first started I thought ' if I can just get to 5k I'll be happy' now I'm thinking the same about 10! 🤭
