I’ve graduated from 5k about three weeks ago and have carried on running every other day. I hit 5k in every run and have started hitting 6k (with a 7k once, which I didn’t realise I had done!) regularly. Im doing a virtual Lejog which has been brilliant for structure.

I’m mindful of not going too far too fast but it feels comfortable.
I want to increase to 10k over the next few weeks and aim to do a virtual 10k New York run in November.
Thought this would be a good target.
Would this be realistic? I am 46, in reasonable shape, had no injuries so far🤞
Any advice would be super helpful!
Thankyou😊

Thanks Tasha, congrats on your achievement! Must have been satisfying reaching the 10k. it seems to be going that way, I don’t feel like it’s over doing it. Going slows good advice! 😊
Gosh. The run in November will seem very straightforward 🎽 you'll be absolutely fine. Keep hydrated and stretch/ strengthen regularly and you should be fine. Every now and then don't up the mileage and repeat a week just to look after the legs. All looks good for you my man.
