I missed yesterday’s run as I had a bit of a poorly tummy and to be fair should probably have missed today’s too but it was such a beautiful morning that I could not resist. And my lovely daughter has bought me 3, yes 3!!!!! New pairs of running leggings so I had to air at least one new pair today. I absolutely love dragons, I read loads of books about dragons and since I read the Anne McCaffrey series, Dragons of Pern, I have wanted a FireLizard. So obviously she bought me these lovely dragon capris. In my favourite colour too which went beautifully with my mens Primark gym top. ( the men’s have better colours ). And everyone knows that good leggings make you run faster too, don’t they? Perhaps I need new trainers too in that colour..??? Hmmm???

So off I went and it was lovely and cool this morning, fresh and quiet as it’s a Sunday. Hardly anyone out this morning although I saw 3 other runners and a dog walker. I retraced my route from Thursday hoping I could replicate my times but, unfortunately, 5 minutes into my run my tummy decided to start gurgling and I was very conscious of it all the way round, which is a bit off putting so I didn’t go on to do the 5k I had originally planned but only ran for 3.3k today and then headed hone, walking VERY briskly. 🤢

We went for a short drive yesterday, intending to go for a walk and pick blackberries but as we got to where we’d planned to park the skies opened so we drove back via Sainsburys to get a Hockings icecream from the van outside, which was gorgeous as ever but on the drive out I almost felt carsick which is really odd as I was driving. Wonder if the queasiness is anything to do with the dizziness I had early last week? I had blood tests on Friday to check me out and my BP checked (which was fine) so I’m awaiting results from that now.

Anyway home and showered after my run and I wasn’t as fast as Thursday but still negative splits and 2 new PRs for segments. I was a bit disappointed to not be as speedy as my Thursday run, when the GPS didn’t work. But still faster than I usually am so maybe I AM getting fitter again at long last???

Just had a lovely breakfast of scrambled eggs, crispy bacon and tiny cherry tomatoes from my greenhouse and feel much brighter now. Off to potter in my garden now. Quite sad to be starting to cut back and clear stuff already before the winter rains start and make it impossible to get out there.

Lucy Locket Loves leggings? They are the best. Enjoy them.

Quite expensive though!! I’ve got some coming from Kukubird too. They are lovely and wash really well and a lot cheaper. And also some from Kizzy.

They do look awesome and the satisfaction today is all about going out when you felt so iffy. I hope things get sorted for you soon. But even feeling dodgy, you're still knocking out PR's!!

Thanks. My breathing was my worst worry but that seems to be settling now so 🤞I’m nearly back to full fitness

I know!! I’ve been clearing a lot of my garden this weekend before winter sets in and it’s too wet. We don’t seem to have Autumns anymore... seems to go from too hot..too hot .. to too wet.. too wet!!
