I wimped out of going for my planned run on Thursday again (pouring with rain and blowing a gale!) so was raring to go to parkrun this morning. Significantly warmer than last week at 8c but still pretty windy. Numbers back to normal as well. Still, although I went off too fast, as usual, I quickly settled into a slightly faster pace, trying to push myself a bit harder. Result, an official PB of 32.23, which is 9 seconds faster than a month ago. I was 331st/444 but I was 5th of 17 ladies in my age group, which is my best so far. Good start to the weekend! ππ

Amazing Sandie! π
Especially in these winds! Huge well done! π Enjoy your weekend & be proud! π
Oh well done! Thatβs a very respectable time in those conditions in fact itβs awesome! πͺ
Well done Sandie, itβs always nice to get a PB even if it is 9 secs.
My first non Parkrun Saturday for some time, but given the wind on the coast today it was probably a good day to miss.
Fantastic Sandie, you must be really pleased with that time. It was v blustery today!
Woohoo Sandie, a PB in this hoolacious wind is epic. Imagine if it hadnβt been windy! πππππ You are on fire! πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
I volunteered at PR today. It was chilly and windy, but tons of fun. I then went for a 5k in my gorgeous new foot pillows (aka my new Brooks) and was surprisingly happy with my time too, even though I was leaning into the wind at one point, almost making no forward progress! π π¨
Excellent work on your new parkrun PB Sandie! Even Storm Erik canβt hold you back, great start to the weekend π
...And your legs donβt even get a rest when you go on holiday... β· pure dedication!

Thatβs a great result, very pleasing. Isnβt great that the days are getting longer and the temperature going up. Roll on spring π
Definitely looking forward to spring Baddie, but winter running hasnβt been as bad as Iβd feared. Managed to swerve the dreadmill completely and still gone out 3 times a week almost every week!
Congratulations on your PB Sandie - enjoy your ski trip! π
Huge well done you - I've only run park run three times and already hooked!
Well done! Especially with this wind itβs not easy. I havenβt done a park run yet and am worried to be one of the slowest. But around the 30 minutes mark I can hopefully do that too.
You really donβt need to worry about being slow PetraTester There are those speed freaks who go round in less than 20 minutes but equally you will often see somebody walking with the tail walker in about 50+ minutes and everybody is congratulated on finishing. The only person you are competing against is yourself!
Thatβs brilliant Sandie. PB weekend for you. What a great time. ππππ
