Need to read the instructions!

Felt a bit chilly for the first time when I set off this morning but soon warmed up. Won't be long methinks before the shorts go back in the cupboard and something longer comes out.

I'm trying different footpaths at the moment before they get too muddy to manage but they do seem to slow me down when they're narrow or uneven.

Still, apart from a tiny bit of village backroad it was all footpaths today and I had them almost to myself. Lovely run. Only problem - I didn't read the magic plan instructions properly and did an extra 5 mins by mistake ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚. And I can say with my hand on heart it was no problem at all.

Sounds a lovely run and good that you didn't feel that extra 5 minutes. I didn't feel cold when I was out but it must have been a lot cooler as when I got home my heating head come on!

I think we've been so hot recently that we havent noticed that Autumn is creeping up on us. Still I'm more comfortable when it's cooler so onwards and upwards.....

What a brilliant run! And you were clearly working at the right pace if you did an extra 5mins and didn't even feel it! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿคธโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ

Yes. The last couple of longer runs have made me think maybe I've cracked it. I did 6k last weekend and actually enjoyed it all the way. I was supposed to do 50 mins but I could see my house at the end of the track and didn't feel the need to stop. Amazing!

That's fantastic! I went out for my 50 mins this morning but I was glad when they were done. It makes such a difference going out midmorning, for the first time in ages I wished I'd brought some water with me ๐Ÿ’ฆ I'm not an early morning person but I do prefer running early when it's a longer run. Only 5.6k for me today, well done for hitting 6k ๐Ÿ™Œ

Well done Beatlesforever. I always take water just to freshen my dry mouth but I'm thinking of having a bit of a snack before my longer runs.

A snack is probably a good idea. Before my first 50min run I had a small banana and I think it made a difference.

Great run, with a little extra for fun. Sounds like lovely routes you have. Last winter I ran in capris rather than shorts, lower legs seemed to look after themselves. Extra layer and gloves on top. But please letโ€™s have a bit more summer before we change into winter gear ๐Ÿคฃ happy running ๐Ÿค—

Yes I am lucky with the runs I've got here. Often see deer, hare and pheasants too. I do hope we have a nice September. I find gloves the most important addition during the colder months.

11 deg with a chilly wind on my run this morning, although shorts and T-shirt still ok, I think gloves will be added soon
