The old railway track I like to run along was laid along a valley bottom which slowly ascends from where I live to the next village. Through most of my C25k journey I obviously ran from that village home, all slightly down hill๐. Recently I've been running the other way, it's only a slight gradient but I can really feel the difference ๐คฃ. Several paths lead down on to the track, all are unsurfaced and vary in their length and steepness.
My plan today was to run down to the track and up different paths and then loop back down again. I was accompanied on my run by the next Women's Running podcast which was again really interesting talking to Susannah Gill. This did a good job of distracting me but I have to confess I allowed myself a 10 step walk at the top of the hills ๐
I'll definitely do this again as I know like medicine hills good for you !
As I ran I spotted this Robins Pincushion gall it was so bright amongst all the greenery so I walked back to get a picture.
NOTE: When I write "Hill" my definition is anything that isn't flat ๐๐คฃ๐
I love the Peak District, usually go a couple of times a year, I had family who lived in Derby so used to go a lot as a child. I love the marble image๐Marbles would run on my slopes nothing like your hills though.
Another good one for you Dijep and a beautiful photo. I don't think I've seen one of those flowers before - or at least I can't remember seeing one outside of a garden.
Well done on the hill running - that's something I've been meaning to do and artfully avoiding for ages
