Exploring.....found new route and a hill!

Sunday morning long run. Lovely morning, dry except for a bit of drizzle at the end which was nice and refreshing! Trotted off down the usual route but decided to carry on up the lane instead of turning around at the end of the cycle/walking track. Rather narrow lanes so needed to listen out for traffic but luckily only a couple of cyclists were on the road. Took a right hand turn at a crossroads thinking that if I keep turning right I would end up back in my normal route! Through a pretty village.....turned right again to face a rather steep hill (see photo). I didn't want to retrace my steps so up we went......slowly, slowly until rewarded with a great view and then downhill back under the railway bridge to my usual route. It was interesting that Squiggy pulled more on the new 'loop', excited to be exploring. Once back on our familiar track he mostly trotted along steadily.

Really enjoyed our 11k run 😊🐾🐶

Lovely Sue..it is so exciting following your posts as you find these new locations on your ( relatively new) home ground)

It sounds to have been a really super run.

That looks not unlike a hill near me.. :) Well done you and Squiggy... and what a great distance:)

Thank you!

Sounds a great run, I love exploring new areas, "now where does that lead?" 🤔

Yes, exploring is fun! This new 'loop' adds a little variation to my regular route out and back along the old railway line.
