This π has just got back from a truly beautiful peaceful sunrise run..all I could hear was the lapping of the waves , and the distant cries of gulls.
As I was plodding along the promenade,a sudden murmuration of starlings rose just about 3 feet above my my head ..all around me, the whirring of hundreds of little wings, as they built and built their numbers. I felt part of the murmuration...it was absolutely magical...
They inspired me, I was trying to fit in a quick run before work...but carried on by the beauty all around me...I just kept going and going....it turned out to be my longest run to date....60mins!!!! I couldn't believe it...is there a badge for thatπ€
When I finally came to the end of myself....and into my cool down walk..I was beaming from ear to ear..I felt I was walking on air...
Congrats Nervousrunner on your first 60 minute run. What a truly memorable experience -described so beautifully and evocatively in your posting . And so different to my running forays into beech and oak woodlands and chalk downlands in the Chilterns. Happy running SPx π
Thank you both. I have a long way to go to catch you upππΌ
...but I'm plodding along. I wouldn't say I find running easy at all. But, this morning..I actually enjoyed the whole run...
My aim is 10K...it's a long way off, but I'm giving it my all. Hydration. Planking. Pilates. Squatts..Knee strengthening exercises.Dynamic stretches.Walking....on my rest days.
I now have 2 rest days in between runs... but...I dont seem to be getting any faster at all..and until this morning..distance and time. Running.showed no signs of improvement either ππ€·πΌββοΈ
