B210k wk5run3- 2 x 30 mins with a 1 min walk between. And the minute walk actually came as a surprise to me as I was really enjoying the run. And I still had some in the tank when I came to the end. I was sorely tempted to keep going to 10k but then I thought “ no, be sensible. You’ve just built back up from illness. You don’t want an injury from being impatient”. So I stopped and walked home again. Really felt good this morning though. Legs weren’t so heavy , breathing was good. I think the extra day of rest helped and a couple of good sleeps.
It was really beautiful out there today. Sunny yet still. The wind seems to have died down for now and the river looked beautiful. I saw a pair of swans and their solitary offspring gliding majestically along and 3 ducks just sat at the edge of the track. Was about to take a pic when an over enthusiastic spaniel larruped round the corner and they took off. I did take one of the young swan on my return journey.
All in all a lovely run and I feel set up for the day. 😁almost looking forward to next week. ............60 minutes straight!!!😫🤞

This sounds really encouraging. Really positive signs that you felt good and had some in the tank left too. This sets you up really well for the straight 60 minutes and I can't wait to read about you completing it! Stay safe and well done 🏆
That is perfectly natural. Use this nervousness and struggle positively to get through the run and know that you'll get back there again. You deserve this achievement again.
I love swans . There used to be hundreds in the Taw when I was going to school and we see very few now. There are 2 pairs I have seen lately, and one pair has this young one with them too. But that’s all I’ve seen this year so far.
We have a little lake near us, only about 1km all around the edge, and it has more than its fair share of swans. I need to be mindful when walking my dog there as they’re quite ferocious sometimes! Last year I was there at cygnet time. Oh so sweet! ❤️
My daughter used to live in shoeburyness near Southend and the park there had a lake with swans and cygnets in the middle. One pair raised several cygnets at one time. Very cute
Well done - sounds like a lovely run and I think you are ready for that 60 minute run next week! I also ran this morning and it was lovely - like you, not even a whisper of a breeze but I'd got out early so it wasn't too hot! 🙂
