Congratulations again to all our fabulous August graduates. It’s time to close this down... please post on the September thread to claim your badges now healthunlocked.com/bridgeto...
It’s August already? How did that happen?
Congratulations in advance to everyone claiming 60 minutes and/or 10k badges this month. I’m looking forward to seeing a lot of new runners coming through this month, as the lockdown graduates are moving up the distances.
Keep me really busy this month guys!
Happy running.

Well that was totally unexpected, went out to do Wk 6 Run 1. I always do the long run of the week on a Friday as it’s the start of the weekend in the Middle East, so was expecting to just do 9K. My legs just wouldn’t stop and kept me going to 10K. Felt great though, and really didn’t feel over stretched. Happy days, can I claim my 10K graduation badge.
Hi UnfitNoMore I am bone weary but absolutely delighted with myself - I've just run my first ever 10K! Please can I swap my 60 minute badge for the Graduate 10? Thanks.
Brilliant, congratulations! Never mind stunned, you should feel very proud. There is only space for one badge though, so the choice is yours - which would you like?
I have kept postponing a 60 minute attempt because of the heat, but today I ran at a very comfortable pace, felt fine at 30 and 45 minutes and so I just went for it. I ended up saturated with sweat but happy!
Congratulations running for a whole hour... how impossible did that seem once? There will be many more. Take some time to celebrate and enjoy closing out that 10k. Cheers 🍻
Thank you! Yes, it seemed impossible. From struggling to run 60 seconds, to easily managing 60 minutes in less than 3 months is nothing short of amazing!
Invite them over! Screenshot your badge and write a post in couch telling everyone about yur journey to the Bridge and your new achievement. New runners in particular find posts like that really inspiring, and you may just tempt some of your C25K buddies over 😊
This place has me overflowing with motivation... not sure how much I’d keep it up if the forums didn’t exist, but I do know I wouldn’t be training for another half.
Could I get my 10k badge please? In reality my first 10k was in June, but hey.... Done my 4th 10k a week ago... 🤣 Thank you!!!!!
Hehe... when you can run that 42k I reckon 10’s will be easy.... and the 50k is only 8 away 🤣
I can't think far ahead 😂, but let me get this first HM out of the way.... 🤣 See what I think next year 😂, but you are right, my 5k was hard when I first did, and now comes naturally to me, first 10k was hard too, and now I find easier but not yet there being natural... 12km being my furthest but this is mind blowing when people can do ultras.... 🤣
Well helloooo! That's a very long time to run, big congratulations. Bet you couldn't have imagined that when you started out 😊. The new badge suits you!
This morning I ran not only 60 mins but I also ran on to get a 10k run under my belt.... not sure if there is 1 or 2 badges for this .... but can I please 🙏🏻 Claim them...
Wow, that's brilliant! Congratulations on a great achievement. There are two badges ... but you can only have one at a time I'm afraid! I've given you the 10k badge as that was your longer run (but just let us know if you would prefer the 60 min badge instead).
It most certainly does! Congratulations on running for over an hour, such an achievement - especially when you think back to the 1 minute intervals in week 1 of C25K! Well done.
Hallllooooooo I achieved my first ever 10K run yesterday and look forward to receiving my graduation badge ini due course - still grinning ...... SmashedPotato
Congratulations on running for a whole hour... and achieving this while I was still in bed ignoring the alarm 🤣. Take some time to celebrate this, when we start our running journey 60 seconds seems impossibly long, now you run 3600 seconds!
Not sure how it happened, but it did! Outpaced by a good few snails but I don’t even care, I’m happy with my (just ever-so-slightly-short-of) 7K! Was going to post a screen shot but don’t seem to be able to - but I’m hoping you’re just going to trust me coz I’m a nice person 😁
Congratulations! We don't need proof, we're very trusting 😊 (it's not possible to add pictures to replies, only to new posts that you write). 60 minutes is a long run however you look at it, however many snails go by, great job !!!
Congratulations hitting that 10k. Pride is well deserved... I’d have been just crawling out of my pit as you finished it! Celebrate well today and enjoy many more fabulous 10k runs.
Thank you UnfitNoMore I will have a few beers later🍺 to celebrate, I can’t believe I’m capable of 10k, I love running and I’ve encouraged a few of my work colleagues to do C25k and I’m enjoying following their journeys now too. Cheers to many more 10k runs.....🏃♂️
You certainly can! Congratulations on a great achievement - hopefully the first 10k but not the last! Happy running, wearing your new badge with pride 🙂
Ohhh I think I might get a 60 min badge, having just managed 60min (for 3rd time) but now also reaching 5k. I know it’s slow, but I am getting there.... see my post/evidence in the C25k community healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
Great job running for a whole hour, and the 5k. The added endurance will be really boosting your fitness level, don’t worry one bit about pace, it’ll come in time. Congratulations on your latest achievement, take some time to celebrate... and enjoy the next leg of your running journey.
Congratulations on the first of many 10k runs. Pace doesn’t matter, especially when compared to the enjoyment and pride that comes with the achievement. Celebrate well and enjoy the next part of your running journey.
Congratulations on both milestones, which I hope you’ve celebrated well. Sadly, we can only wear one badge at a time, so I’ve awarded you the 10k one... unless you’re super speedy it’s the longest run! If you’d prefer the 60 minute one for any reason, just let me know. Enjoy many runs of these lengths and all your future running adventures
