First run for LEJOG4 out of the way this morning and I hope to top it up with a walk this afternoon, need to work out about the uploading miles and evidence though.
The run itself felt good - not quite at 5k yet but I'm sure I will be within a couple of runs. Even the dreaded hills don't seem quite so awful as they used to! The weather was good today though, overcast not hot and not cold, no rain and little wind. Having started this in May I have not yet had to run in winter when it may be cold and dark, it may be a switch to a gym will be in order.
Have a good one anyone else running today.

Good start, well done! Winter running is ace. What a journey to be on. Over the year your mileage and experience will grow so much!
Brilliant, well done for getting off the starting line. And I agree with GTFC, winter running is great, although I don't like ice, the cold, wind and rain and wonderful to run in, much easier than the heat and humidity.
Great start, enjoy the journey. Winter running isn’t too bad as long as you work out the right clothes for you. I ran through winter in the north of Scotland. For me - knee length leggings, T-shirt and cozy top, wind proof jacket and thermal gloves. Happy running 🤗
Good luck. I wished you well on the starting line this morning. I have just managed to upload my daily mileage. I have joined the strava club so didn't need to submit evidence of the miles.
I've also not run in winter as yet and to be honest I am dreading it. I have Raynauds so the cold is horrendously painful in my fingers and toes. I have brought some longer running socks as I found I had cold ankles a couple of weeks ago which make my feet cold. I'll probably end up layering up and then having to strip off mid run, but the issue will be carrying all of the excess clothes. We will both get through the first winter together.
You'll be fine - I started C25K in February and it wasn't a problem to get the runs in. Have you tried glove liners? They help with insulation. Good luck!
