This is very interesting, we’ve been meandering round our park, golf course, lake and along by the sea for months now, mostly 3 times a week and mostly 5k. Always around the 48 minute mark, sometimes a bit faster sometimes a bit slower and once in 40 minutes but with very little direction
Then I decided to set up the garmin 10k plan and today we ran the last of week 2
Looking back each run has been a bit faster than the last 😀
Today it’s cooler and it didn’t feel too fast but we only needed to run 1.6 k so stretched out a bit and both were breathing a bit harder but didn’t even break out a sweat before it was finished, I walked round the river to cool down, somethings going on, the car park is closed taped off and full of people in high vis jackets, maybe they’ve set up the testing station again
This plan is 4 times a week which is a lot for us but we are enjoying ourselves and knowing we are improving
Happy running everyone and have a good weekend, I’m back to work tomorrow and feel like I’ve had a good break with lots of running and lots of swimming and sleeping soundly even though it’s been hot
