Hello...
Erm, kinda did my first 10k ,didnβt set out too, but it just kinda happened?!?..π€π€¦π»ββοΈ
Iβve been doing 6ks a couple a week and then on Monday I ran 7 so this morning I decided I would try for 8 but if I couldnβt do it Iβd settle for 7 and save 8 for next week.
Well, I didnβt plan it that well because I was doing a loop and a half ( local park run and then the first 3k again) so I got to 6k , felt good, got to seven and decided to try 8..8 was harder but I suddenly realised if I stopped id have to walk back for 2k ( finish the second loop) and I just thought ( this bit sounds stupid) I canβt be arsed to walk back , Iβll run a bit slower to 9k instead , then I got there and thought oh, Iβm only 1k away from 10k...and I figured if i stopped at 9 I would bollock myself all day, just get on without man!.So I just kinda kept going. π€¦π»ββοΈ...
Yeah . So , 10k ran to avoid a slow 2k walk. I never said my thinking is in straight lines ππ€ͺ
Iβve done lots of stretches and Iβm planning a little stroll after the school run , but never the less, feeling somewhere between buzzing and strangely surprised I was able to do it?!?
Iβm sure thereβs more sensible approaches and I would advocate their advice.
Not gonna run now till Saturday park run.
