Well I did my first 5k park run yesterday with loads of die hard runners as I guessed most people would be watching the rugby so I decided to venture out and compared to running the course on Tuesday, I only went and knocked 2 mins off my time ! I came in at 32.03 ! I am in shock as my 3rd mile was under 10 mins and my final 0.1 I was running 8.37 !! Make no mistake I was knackered for the rest of the day haha - back to work today 😬
1st Park run: Well I did my first 5k park run... - Bridge to 10K

What a fantastic time, hopefully this will be the first of many for you
Well done on your first parkrun and that’s a great time! I hope you will be inspired to go back and do it again, it can get addictive. The PBs will keep on coming so don’t stop there either! There’s so much more to come
Fantastic effort, running with others certainly focusses the mind.

But I’m mega impressed with my time - so here’s to hoping 😀
Well done. It’s great going to parkrun. The more you go the better it gets. It is also a great way of keeping focus and working on improving pace.

Hey Ali, it’s lovely to hear from you ! I’m fine thanx how are you doing ? I’ve had a few months out of running with one thing and another. Started with an over due holiday then a niggling injury.
Funny that I should hear from you this week as I’ve just started back on a treadmill due to the social distancing etc ! Just doing a slow mile/walk/mile to keep injury free 😀 hope your doing well ! X
Oh fantastic! That good to hear you're back on our again! I was just going down my list of people I follow on C25K and checking in to see how everyone was 😊
I'm glad you got your holiday in before we got locked down!
I did my first half marathon last Friday! I ran it on my own, but the neighbours came out to clap when I came back! 🤗
Good luck with your indoor runs and hope you stay injury free! Keep on posting! The forum misses you 😊
That is so very kind, thank you x these are very strange times we are living in with the most simplest of things we take for granted being an near impossibility now.
Wow ! That is just fantastic !! Well done !! You just feel so elated, I am so happy for you, you’ve kept it up with lots of hard work and here is an amazing feat ! X
Aww thanx yeah I’ve missed reading the posts on here with everyone, but here’s to getting back to running regularly - you are an amazing inspiration 😘 xx
