Hi everyone.

After graduating c25k back in April, I have managed to run 5 x 5K consolidating runs ( around 38 mins, fastest 36mins). and have to say none of these were really comfortable, always seem to be gasping for breath, I know its me trying to run faster than I am ready for, I get carried away😁.

anyway yesterday I heard about the stepping stones podcast coached by the lovely Laura, and thought I`d give it a try( the idea being that the beat of the music starts you at 150 spm increasing 155 and ending160spm)

So at 6.30 am this morning I started off with Laura`s reassuring words in my headphones.

The music might not be to everyone`s taste , but I found it did the job very well, and made me stick to the same sensible pace which had the added benefit of helping me breath comfortably, so much so that when I reached 5K I felt so good that I carried on until I reached 7.5 K.👍.

Just wondered if anyone else might find this podcast helpful with their running, it certainly made my run😊😊.

Well done Harrishawk, I still haven’t tried that podcast, but I have found some running tracks that help me.

Don’t forget the 10% Rule when increasing distance - we don’t want you on the IC. 😂
