I won’t be able to run for a few days, so whatever the weather my 5k run had to be this morning. In the rain. A few people have posted recently how much they love a rainy run, but I’m not among them.
However I rationalised that I get drenched in sweat anyway. And away!
It was a couple of minutes slower than usual probably due to picking my way onto drier parts of the road and away from loose, wet gravel. Nevertheless well worthwhile.
But a convert to rainy running? Hmmm. 🤔

Its better running in the rain than cycling, many a time I have been caught in the rain when out on the bike and can be quite miserable, however, running isn't so bad, it keeps you cool.
Yes I’m a bit of a fair weather runner HeavyFoot. If I do have to run in the rain( like on parkrun), I can be seen skipping around the puddles unlike my fellow runners. I quite like summer drizzle though As it’s cooling rather than saturating.
