I’ve had a few days rest from running since the park run on Saturday, not least because the weather has been awful. But it got to late afternoon today and I thought it was time to get out again!
As I set off for my warm up walk the rain started, I was dodging puddles and a lot of flooding too around the roads and pavements. I had a lovely 30 minute (slow) run to and around the nearby park and was happy to keep up a decent pace throughout.
I’m hoping to do a ‘Tim’s run’ over the next days, probably before Sunday as I’ll be away. Looking forward to seeing all of your postings!

Nice run for you today Oldlady64 apart from all those puddles, glad you enjoyed that 30 minute run, good luck for you running Tim's Run whenever you do it, I just looked at the weather forecast for Sunday, in Scotland, Wales and most of England except the south the weather should be dry with only a occasional shower, the south of England will be windy with rain at times.
Great to hear that there’s a much better weather forecast for Sunday and ‘Tim’s run’. I’ll definitely be doing one and posting but I won’t manage it on the day itself.
I don't want it to rain anywhere on Sunday, I intend to run my first full Half Marathon so I hope it will stay dry, like you I will post a report about my run after I have completed it.
Thanks SueAppleRun Your posts and so many others on HU motivate me such a lot. I’ve found that setting myself a goal and working on progress towards it, in small steps, is really helping me get out running.
Also, I prefer the colder weather to run, rather than the much hotter weather we had over the last months. I just don’t like getting wet feet 😁.
Thank you, I'm a lazy runner, any excuse and Willow is even lazier but we get out two or three times most weeks, I love reading other people's posts, it motivates me too. Wet feet aren't good, although I've found once wet they warm up again and I can ignore them.My biggest bugbear is being cold, so brisk walking and running suit me as I warm up quickly and come home glowing ( read beetroot faced) 😂
Brilliant! I’m a weirdo who loves running in the rain but it absolutely comes with all sorts of extra challenges. You should be super proud of yourself for getting out there. Really good luck for your Tim’s run. ❤️
