Congratulations on completing c25k. After you've ran a few weeks for 30 minutes 3x per week you could give it a try 😊😊

I agree with Buddy. Congratulations on your graduation from C25K. Spend a few weeks running 5K for 3 times per week for about 5-6 weeks first before moving on to longer distances. Otherwise you may risk injury. Allow your new running legs to get used to 5K first.
I got to 10K by doing exactly that. After, I continued running 5K x 3 times per week. I then picked one of these runs as a long run. I continued to run 5K twice per week and each week I just added 500 meters onto my long run.

Thank you Damien, that does sound like a sound plan. Much appreciated.
Remember it’s a journey. And it’s your journey. I’ve been running now for 3 years since graduating from C25K. I sometimes train for a 10K race and will run 13-14K for a couple of months. But 90% of my running is at the 5K distance. I loved running at parkrun before COVID stopped everything. I run for the social side and health reasons. I lost 2.5 stone via healthy eating and running and running also helps to keep any weight gain under control.

Congratulations on your graduation. Please read this before you consider running further.
