No running during fertility treatment

One of the most interesting things about any fertility treatment for me has been in finding out all these things my body can do. Did you know that running is so strenuous on the body that it can twist your ovaries and cut off blood flow to them? So on doctor's advice, I have stopped running for over a month now and it is making me feel very sad and fat, especially during lockdown.

I can imagine how much your missing running it’s great that you’re following your doctors advice and I hope all goes well with your fertility treatment.

Thank you Buddy. I really hope it goes well. If it doesn’t then I guess I’ll be back to running in a few weeks 😅

Oh poor you, I wish you the very best of luck with your treatment, hopefully you will soon be looking back on this post realising it was well worth stopping running to achieve positive results. 🤗

Thank you Grannyhugs. I think all the running over the past 2 years have improved my health so much that I have no problem with not being able to run for the time being. I just hope I’ll have good news in a few weeks time 😆

Yeah I don’t fancy finding out what getting my ovaries twisted feels like 😅 I look forward to being able to go running again but preferably not until another year later. If you know what I mean 😉

I’m hoping that my doctor will tell me not to run for a year because there are buns in the oven, if you know what I mean 😉 Here’s hoping

Just like running - keep the end line in mind. I’ll be worth it. 🤞🏻 for you.

Thank you for pointing this out Sybilw. I’m trying to stay positive and focus on one day at a time. But yes, running over the past few years have been invaluable in helping me focus and understand what I can achieve. Starting running has been an amazing journey and going through ivf now feels like the start of another great journey
