Who saw this email? What do you think? Could be fun!?
parkrun say:
"Launching sometime next week, (not)parkrun is an opportunity for parkrunners to submit a 5k walk, jog, or run, on a route of your choosing, wherever you are in the world and following appropriate guidelines for physical activity wherever you’re based.
It works a bit like the parkrun ‘Freedom run’ – an opportunity for you to self-declare the date and time of a walk, jog or run and at the same time represent your home parkrun. You can record up to one activity per day, with your fastest time each week included in a weekly results table.
There’s no need to re-register to take part in (not)parkrun, your existing parkrun profile will allow you to log and view your (not)parkruns."
I’ll certainly be doing it Roseabi, along with posting on damienair ’s virtual not parkrun post on Saturdays. It’s good that parkrun has caught up with us. 😂😂
Not received it yet... when did it come round? We've had a not parkrun at a couple of our local venues, run it yourself and submit, it didn't count towards your profile.
I certainly will when I am back at the PC! Not sure I get all parkrun emails.... get lots about Contra clothing but generally I have to read their main updates on social media!
I have already ran 12 of Damien's virtual 5K parkruns, unfortunately those don't count, so even if I run 50 virtual parkruns I won't get a 50 T 👚shirt, anyway, in New Zealand they will officially start again on 4th July, not sure how long it will be before they start in the UK.
The New Zealand government had perhaps a slightly easier job than those of some other countries, but even so their management of the pandemic was amazing! We will just have to wait and see what happens here, but in the meantime initiatives such as (not)parkrun help to keep things fun and to maintain focus on their organisation 😊😊😊
