Hello my running lovelies, whoosh, where did that month go? I hope you’re all ok and staying safe? I am actually enjoying my time at home with my hubby and children...I usually rattle around my house on my own all week so having everybody in my nest is suiting me down to the ground! I am also loving my running too, still on my garmin plan and have only 2 runs left, I’ve enjoyed the plan and have kept to the 3 runs a week, I’m running tomorrow and then my last run is Saturday, a 10k, a distance I haven’t run for a while so wish me luck! I have read all your posts and you’ve all had some great goals and we have just one week left, gosh have we needed some motivation and inspiration this month? How have you all found it this month with things being as they are? I am hoping my quest has kept you motivated by reading each other’s quest goals? So, like I said, one week to go so if you’re reading this and haven’t joined in so far, there’s still time! The more the merrier!
So what is the quest?? I am sure most of you are familiar with it by now but for those of you who aren't....
The aim of the Quest is to help you find a focus or goal that you would like to achieve by the end of the Quest period.
The Quest takes one calendar month. You can join at any point during that time.
I ask that you are a C25K Graduate before joining the Quest. The reason for this is that pre-graduation your week is very much structured according to the C25K programme, and I wouldn't want the Quest to interfere with that.
Most popular goals are:
★ To run three times a week
★ To slowly increase distance
★ To train for a specific race
★ To add Stretch and Strength exercises to your weekly routine
This is a personal challenge, so it's completely up to you! If you want to join, all you have to do is comment below with something like:
I would like to join the Quest, or, count me in! I want to ..............

Haha...mmmmmm biscuits!! I’ve found myself eating more biscuits with my morning brew!! Naughty naughty, so I’ll join you on that one Autumn1231 !! Good luck with your distance x
Pop me down too please MC. 😀 My lockdown routine has been in effect since it started and I’d like it to continue. It’s to run 3-4 times a week (basically every other day), including a 10k. The other runs are between 5 and 7k. 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
So that, plus my daily yoga, plus having my whole family - including 7 month old grandson - living back at home is making my lockdown experience a happy one. I understand I’m very fortunate and I feel for others who aren’t in such a position. ❤️
You’re in cheekychipmunks , how lovely that you’re all together? Your routine sounds busy as well as your household so you’ve done well to keep it going and those are some fab distances there CC...sounds like your quest is on target and you’re making the most of your family...perfect 😊 x
Thanks MC! It’s wonderful having them all here. Back to being a full time mum to my 3 twenty-something kids with loads of cooking and laundry, but I don’t mind. Sounds like you’re similar. Isn’t it lovely? ❤️
Mine are too young to have left home but yes, I love having them all at home...no school and hubby not at work yay!! I don’t know where the washing is coming from because they’re not going anywhere but still the pile of washing and ironing never goes down! Lol xx
Good morning MC! count me in please! My quest is to continue with three runs a week and increase my distance slightly!
That’s a great quest Hidden , it’s been good to keep some goals during this lockdown to keep us all going, I don’t know what I’d do without my running...well done to you x
Wowsers Buddy34 ...13. 6k?!! That makes me look a right fairy dreading my 10k at the weekend!!! That’s fantastic, you have proper come on with the distance thing haven’t you?! Good for you Buddy, we’re all cheering for you x
Hi Mummycav I've been doing some serious running while in lockdown. Running alternate days usually 10k. I’m doing the #twopointsixchallenge next week - running the equivalent of a marathon during the week for Alzheimer’s Scotland. First time I’ve run for charity so I’m feeling the pressure even though the actual running is no different from what I’ve been doing. Happy running everyone 🤗
Ooo, hats off to you for a 10k every other day?! That’s amazing! I’m dreading my up coming 10k already!
I did a charity run every month last year and I really enjoyed it...the novelty of a bit of bling dropping through the letter box had worn off with my family by August though...but I liked it 😊...good luck with yours, I have no doubts whatsoever that you will smash it!
Thank you. I'm sure you will have a great 10k. I feel it's my form of escape just now, so much of our lives are contribute I can decide how fast/slow and steep to run. Go enjoy that 10k 🤗
Just popped in and wanted to say a big well done to you! 2 runs left and you’ve done it in style!! 🤩🤩😁
I’m not going to quest at the moment, but I’m always inspired by my VRB’s to run at the spur of a moment and I wish you all brilliant, safe and fun running quests. 🤗❤️
Aw, thank you so much Fabulous450 ...that’s so kind of you, we love it when you pop in! No pressure about questing at all, you are doing your own thing which is obviously working for you...and that’s perfect in these times. You’ve had a lot on for a long time and yet you still manage to get out there and inspire us...stay safe Fab xxx
Yes and in the 4th week now and am making the last 3 runs shorter as I’ve become aware of my right Achilles a few days ago and then my right hamstring on the last step of yesterday’s run so my body knows it’s been doing more than usual. Will go like a snail (okay so no change there) but carefully. 🐌
My fannying about means I need to ensure I get my yoga practice in every day now or I'll miss my goal.
I am **so** pleased with the NACPO/College of Policing guidance which has me back in the woods to run (and seeing no one and touching nothing)... behind where I intended to be in C25K redux, just finished Week 6, but very much still in the game.
Yes, and these are very much working plantations (I had to switch to the other one as they had heavy machinery working yesterday at the first one) So I can't be accused of just going for a sightseeing jolly!
Just 2 runs this week MC, a 3 sec improvement on my 1k time for Roseabi’s speed challenge and a sub-25 5k at parkrun time on Saturday. Need a longer run in the next few days though!
Wow, 3 secs shaved off is a brilliant achievement!! And a SUB 25????????? Wow, I would give anything for a sub 30 never mind 25!!! You are like a whirlwind!!! Well done UTS!!
It's been a few days now with the foot improvement. Not too bad now, so Monday I will ring and try to set up a phone appointment with my physio to see what the advice is next...
Really enjoying the daily yoga, I intend to keep this going now.
Good luck with your 10k run on Saturday... you can do it! 🌷xxx
Thank you Bluebirdrunner ...I’m currently sat in the garden in the hot sun ummming and arrrring about my 10k and whether to go after tea or first thing in the morning...I’ve come on here for some inspiration.
Good news about your foot, hopefully you will get an Quickish appointment xx
Count me in Mummycav.... I’m going to continue running at least 3 times a week and try to up my distance from 5k towards the 10k Mark again. Might take a bit longer than a month ....😁
And keep up my Pilates sessions as I really feel they are helping me with my running too.
I've kept to my plan, some runs are better than others, but I've ticked off the 11 Km and a couple of 7 KMs. Next week is meant to have a 12 KM run, that#'s further than I've run for a while, but if I can do 11 I can do 12...
