On week 4 of The Plan ( doing it in km this time - already done the minute version and got up to 8k in 56 mins as a PB ). I set off for 5 k and saw a lone paramedic driving his ambulance I waved and smiled to show support and he waved back. I then cried my eyes out whilst running the next 2 k or so thinking about those poor souls frightened out of their lives in the back of ambulances potentially never seeing loved ones again and the bravery of our NHS workers. I then pulled myself self together like everyone has to do and ran. Don’t know what happened to Runkeeper it failed miserably but my fitbit showed me a PB for 5 K of 34 mins - I took it as a sign of hope in these bleak times. Forgive my indulgence but the thought of that ambulance is haunting me x

It is hard times, not indulgence at all.... that is the reality and you are doing wonderfully.

Huge well done you.. stay strong and use those runs to let the feelings come out :) x

It is emotional and perfectly normal to feel like this during these times. The best gift we can give to the workers and people suffering is to obey the rules and keep ourselves as healthy as we can and be happy. By running you’re doing one of the best things for your lung health so keep going! And well done 🏃‍♀️🙂
