I normally run 3 times a week and aim for a total 20k , sometimes 'life stuff' gets in the way but most weeks I achieve my 20k. For the past 7 days though I've been running everyday, just over 3k a day, so about the same as my normal weekly total. Its not a good idea to have no rest days, probably even more so when you are 64 like me but I have actually really enjoyed the past 7 days running. Tomorrow will be a rest day then its back to some longer runs three times a week . . . does anybody else do periods of everyday running?

Mixing it up a little - everyday running
That sounds lovely. I’ve been running for nearly three years and have always run 3 times a week but recently I’ve really fancied running more frequently but less far. I know there are people out there who run every day for a short distance so I’m guessing if your body can take it then go for it. However as I’m on the IC for a bit due to a dodgy knee it will have to wait. But enjoy. 😊🏃🏻♀️
Now and again I do orangeguy …I’ve done RED January a couple of times too…I do enjoy it but I couldn’t do it for any longer…we’re all different though but I do think that having rest days is important for muscle repair as injury can come out of no where, even when we feel ok…I suppose there’s no harm in doing the occasional 7 day streak as long as you feel ok 👍🏻
Yes 7 days is probably enough I think, I'm heading out up the old disused railway line tomorrow morning for a bit more of a distance, not to sure about the mud though, its the monsoon season currently here in Northants! 🌧️🌧️😊
I've not done 7 days, but to keep myself occupied during lockdown I downloaded a Garmin Connect plan to my watch and opted for 5 days per week. I've done three of these plans now, 5K, HM low heart rate, and 10K with a time goal. The 10 K plan was a bit more demanding so I dropped to 4 days a week.
I reckon everyday is ok after you've been running for a while and you feel ok on it.
I always take a rest day from running on a Sunday as I’m married to a Vicar. It works well as I can push it at park run. I run 4 or 5 times during the week but all easy runs so recovery is shorter 👍🏻
I've been moving from running every other day to doing four runs a week, occasionally five. I tend to do 3km in the bulk of the runs, with two longer runs per week (one around 5km, the other around 10km). It seems to be working well.
Maybe in a few more months time I'll do a full week of short runs.
Rest days are still important. This week I had a two day break ahead of today's long run (12km).
I’m also a 20km 3 runs a week runner like you, keeping the rest days rule from C25K and walk on those days. I have run back to back days, but mainly don’t want it to become a routine or even a chore thinking sometimes “oh no not again “.
