Now Dexy5 has become competitive, she's searching for speed and trying 30:20:10 intervals as part of the equation. Still in supportive mode, I'm trotting along beside her but tried out a new idea this morning - doing the 10 secs sprint at my own eyeballs out pace, then turning back to rejoin her partway through the next 30 secs jog. The Garmin track looks as if a lunatic has been let out of the asylum
I had to tell her off when I discovered her recovery jog pace was too fast for me - which I assessed as meaning she wasn't putting enough into her sprints. This advice was not particularly well received
The weather was particularly brisk this morning, with a chilly onshore wind which was whipping up the surf. Post-run photo credit to Dexy …..

😂😂 I can hear Dexy’s comments from here 😂😂 I’ll have to try those with Katnap one day, I get in a muddle on my own. I took him up a hill the other day, he wasn’t happy 🤭
The JogRunSprint app makes it much easier TailChaser. A voice tells you to prepare for each run and then it beeps to change. So You don't have to set it up on your watch which I was having problems with.
Thanks Dexy, found that the other day, it looks lovely and simple. Trouble was our park gets so busy I was having to concentrate on getting round people and avoiding tripping over dogs etc so I was missing queues no matter how or what I used. Think we probably need to try somewhere else for them but it’s a handy distance away.
(So many dogs round here! I nearly trod on someone’s small terrier the other day, it was right under my foot as it’s the only way I could go - the lady didn’t seem to notice me running towards her in my bright yellow top and pink shoes 😳)
As a result of running I spend more time on the prom than I ever have and it’s an ever-changing scene that never ceases to attract my attention. I just love living by the sea. You must find the same at Hastings.
