Can I join the Magic Plan. Have always been a slow runner but was making progress until December when I damaged my arm and shoulder. Only just started back and feel I am starting from scratch. Have taken a pic of the plan and will give it a go. Is the distance it the time most important? I can ‘run’ a 5k but it takes me 42 mins.

Magic plan!
Of course you can join the Magic Plan, I hope you will enjoy your runs.
So should I aim for distance or time? I am a walk/run person which I would love to change - so I just run.
Go for it! You can choose a distance or time based one. The more you do you realise it's set up perfectly so I wish you good luck on a fantastic journey. A quick shorter run, a mid run and a long slow run. I thoroughly recommend it. The most important thing is to keep getting out there, don't worry about time it's getting out there that's vital.
I am a slow runner too Sarah & plan to start this plan by the end of the month. Aiming for x3 5k a week first. I will definitely go for distance rather than time. That way I will enjoy it more!
I will enjoy hearing how you get on!!please keep posting your progress!
Don’t worry about running slowly Sd - my average Km is 10 minutes so if I could do 5k in 42 minutes I’d be well chuffed! The magic plan allows you to do either time (aiming for an hour) or distance. As a slow runner I figured I’d be running an hour just to get to 6k so decided to opt for the distance option. It’s taking me ages to do it but keep plugging away and we’ll all get there eventually! Good luck with it!
Hello, yes of course you can do the Magic plan. Here is a link to the whole lot:

And its entirely up to you if you prefer distance or speed and feel ready to progress with your running? I will be doing a new group in May/ June time which I will post about at the end of April should you wish to join...
Hi my 5k takes 41 minutes on a good day. I've been doing the timed version of the plan and am now running 50 minutes on my long run. Intend to do an interval run for the short run. Once I can run for 60 minutes I'm going to go for distance. I just felt I needed some miles on my legs after graduating C25K. See how you feel it's a personal thing. Good luck whichever you choose 👍
