Sorry, but here's another question... so on the plan the 3 runs each week can be run in any order; for those that have gone before us, what's worked best in your experience? Always doing them as Run 1 - 2 - 3 (2.5k / 5k / 5.5k). Or mixing it up and doing them in any order?
Any advice appreciated!

When I did the 10k plan 2 years ago, I did it in order. It seemed less daunting to do the shorter run first in the week and then build on it with the longer run over the weekend. Everyone is different though
I always tried to get the big one out of the way!!!
It's all psychological 🧠🤯
Great question! Don't ever be sorry. I personally followed it like you but loosely as I increased the distances a bit when I got near the end. I went faster on the little run, easy on the middle run and slower on the long run. Well done you though! Keep going 👏👏👏
This is my first time doing the magic plan although I have done 10K many times before. When I started doing 10K i was running 5K x 3 times per week. I picked one of those runs as a long run and each week added 500 meters onto it. The magic plan is similar but it looks like a better plan to start off with. Looking forward to doing it in a group virtually.
I love routine so I went with the following each week.
Monday - 5k @ easy pace
Wednesday - longer run @ easy pace
Friday - shorter run @ tempo pace
I was coming back from an injury so the 2 day rest worked well for me after the faster run. I used the Running World calculator to get my pace based on 5k time.
The best thing though is do whatever works for you and have fun. I loved it 🏃♀️
When I first did it, the 5k run was always on Saturday as that was parkrun day. That was my fast run of the week. The other 2 runs moved about a bit but I always tried to get 2 rest days before the long run. Just play it by ear and make the long one the slowest.
