Hello,

Firstly apologies that this is INCREDIBLY late.... I don’t know about all of you, but it feels like life has just turned upside down and it’s all a bit scary.

If you are able to get outside and run safely following the precautions, I really do recommend you do. My daily runs have kept me grounded and a sense of normality as it’s such an important part of my daily routine.

So- here is the video, I wish you safe and well during this dreadful time.

The pic is my bunny Shaka enjoying some outdoor fun with my garden gym, which I’m so grateful for.

I can't believe it! This is it! And I am here, doing it!! I never thought I would get here, but I am just in from my 2nd 9k run and I have one more week of this and then I can run 10k!! How the hell did that happen?!

I know what you mean about getting out and keeping going if you can, it has certainly helped my sanity. Even if I have to be careful how close I get I can still smile and wave at people!

I hope that everyone can get out and enjoy the fresh air. Stay safe people!

Yay you superstar!!! I’m so glad you are still able to go out that’s fantastic. It’s so much for our mental wellbeing. I think it’s harder for people if they live in densely populated areas. I barely see a soul on my runs which is a relief.

Thankyou, I really adore my bunnies. I feed them every morning when I come back from my run and they get so excited to hear me coming. They are called Rufus and Shaka.

Loving the rabbit keep fit πŸ‡πŸ‘, we have a tiddles bunny ju-ju she's nearing 8yrs and going strong just venturing back outdoors after keeping warm over winter... ( She's a tad pampered)...

Keep up the great posts ju-ju yooz an inspiration to us all.... πŸ™‚

Oh bless, a pampered bunny, love it. Ours live outdoors all year round and they are very happy as they have a fairly large area to run around and dig burrows etc.

Ahem I've never pampered a bunny in my life 🀐🀫 ( I may stroke her occasionally when the teenagers are safely I'm education πŸ™„) she lost her brother last year (fluffysam) so the daughters wrapped her in cotton wool and yep she's pampered and some!

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ€ fluffysam.... such a cute name and I’m so sorry he’s gone. We had a fox take my last two bunnies a few years ago and I was devastated.... they were called Nibbles and Floppy and they lived happily with our chickens. I clearly didn’t pamper them enough πŸ™

Ah the fox and the rabbit scenario, but it's well documented and you're probably not alone it's a sad cruel fact of nature.

Sadder is I see so many foxes out and about during the night when sensible folk are sleeping 😯, they're a beautiful animal if only they could curtail their bad habits!!

I'm sorry for your loss of both nibbles and floppy 😒

Thankyou it’s just life isn’t it... I really like foxes but they are so wasteful! In that fateful night he killed the two buns and 4 of our chickens leaving just one... our wonderhen Shady who we hatched, was the runt of the pack and is still going strong!! The fox only took one of the hens and just left the rest, and my bunnies all lying everywhere, there were feathers all over the garden.

Oh dear poor things 😧πŸ₯±.

A fox tried to get my hens but my husband heard and was down the garden right away. Foxy was snagged in the netting. He’d done a lot of harm to my hens but they all survived My husband let foxy go We beefed up their housing though πŸ™‚

I didn’t bear a grudge. My husband said to see an outraged, angry fox at close quarters was frightening. Completely wild, trapped animal. He ran away to fight another day

Week 8 done - I managed to run for 60 minutes!! I was stuck at 30 minute runs for around eighteen months, stalking this bridge to 10k site thinking I’d never get beyond those 30 minute runs.

This week was hard though - heavy legs each time I was out and slower runs (and I’m already slow!)

The next challenge is to keep 1 run a week at 60 minutes or so for a few weeks and then look to extend it as it seems silly not to try and get to 10k now... πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸŒπŸ˜

Hi Ju-Ju, hope you are keeping well.

A little behind schedule as I had to keep my body in check with longer recovery between runs, but finally achieved my first 10k yesterday (10.25km in 1hr 03) out in the glorious Sussex countryside.

This was my second attempt at the Magic 10 programme, so really chuffed to have completed it this time round. Next is to consolidate and extend my 10k's with a view to a half marathon this time next year, body permitting.

Am I too early in this journey to sign up to the half marathon forum, or is it a natural progression for those that want to pursue it?

Thank you for all the encouragement and support throughout this journey!
