Week 1 βœ…πŸ˜. I didn’t feel too well earlier in the week and if I hadn’t signed up I probably wouldn’t have run. But I did and I feel much better now. Hope everyone has had a good week.

That’s superb, well done 😎

Week 1 done... yay.

Run 1 - Closer to 6k because once I got past 5k, I realised that I had no way to check my distance (apart from checking my phone all the time). So I guessed. I was wrong 🀣.

Run 2 - normal 5k. Felt tougher than run 1, but sometimes 5k is just like that.

Run 3 - nailed 2.5k at an amazing pace (for me) of 5.50min per km.

Ran a fast but steady first km, then slowed right down for 2mins to recover, then alternated between very fast pace for 1min then slower, but still faster than normal pace for 2 mins.

I think I lost the enjoyment of running a little in the consolidation runs. But I'm loving it more than ever now.

Roll on week 2!

I’m like that.....I’m doing the times version and think I’m enjoying going back to a time and not worrying about distance when I’d been rigidly sticking to 5. Happy running

Fantastic, I love the way you have created your own interval session with the short run. A great start to the plan 😎

Enjoyed JuJu W1 and looking forward to W2....doing the β€œlittle” run felt odd but was really chuffed when I broke the 5K barrier!

Week 1 βœ… I too am enjoying the different times and the challenge. I have found it tough though so am very pleased that I watched Ju-ju's vid. I'm going to take that piece of advice and slloooww down πŸ˜‚

Enjoy all you Magic runners!

Week 2 long run (39 mins) done this morning. Lovely stuff: got out early & got as far as a beautiful open green space, had it all to myself, & weather was nice & cool. And now I can hunker down tomorrow during the storm knowing that's the biggie ticked off this week.

Fantastic, well done on the longer run., you are doing fab 😎

Week 1 βœ… I had a tough 5k today as I was dehydrated πŸ₯‚πŸ˜© It was a good lesson in keeping going when it’s hard , also not feeling sorry for myself . I am back in England next week so I’ll be doing my first ever park run as my 5k run , so excited . Hoping my kids and grandkids may join us 😎

ju-ju- profile image
ju-ju-Graduate10 in reply to SteveWebbo

That’s really exciting re park run, and make sure you are drinking enough as dehydration can be yuck... well done too 😎

SteveWebbo profile image
SteveWebbo in reply to ju-ju-

I'm learning that as the distances get longer the hydration is becoming more important . No pub for me before a run !!! This running lark is trying it's best to change my lifestyle - and winning :-)

ju-ju- profile image
ju-ju-Graduate10 in reply to SteveWebbo

Great, if you do drink, as long as you keep hydrated etc it should be ok, but it’s not ideal I agree 😎

Week 1 done! I’ve also done two of the week 2 runs already; 3k on Thursday night and 6k today. I’m hoping the weather is ok for my to do the 5k on Monday or Tuesday πŸ™ˆ I’m enjoying them πŸ‘πŸΌ

Run 1 of week 2 done on a Friday. Had intended to do the 30 minute run but felt good and it was turning out to be a lovely morning so I kept going and stopped at 40 minutes instead plus I wanted to get that little bit closer to home before I started the cool down walk. No second run today however - felt it wise in the face of Storm Ciara!! So I completed a

Beginners Yoga session with β€˜Yoga with Adriene’ instead. I’m finding this is beginning to help me feel more energised but the challenge now is to keep this all going over the coming weeks πŸ˜€

Have done week 1, but has to miss today's run because of the storm, so not sure how I am going to fit it all in right! (usually do my long run on Sundays) I am sure it will work out fine in the end!

I did my long run first as that's how the timing fell for me. I plan on doing longer runs on Saturdays. For the short run I used week 1 on the c25k plan and ran the walking bits then upped my pace for the running bits, this worked quite well and felt like a proper workout. My 30 minute run was just a normal run, I tried to keep a slow and steady pace but didn't really enjoy it at the time and was glad when it was over.

I'm doing Plankety Plankethon this week and I'm seriously thinking of adding some swimming in on my non running days.

SteveWebbo profile image
SteveWebbo in reply to Rigpig

Nice going Tim . I’m doing the distance but I’m slow so I’ll hit the 60mins way before 10k 😁😁😁

Rigpig profile image
Rigpig in reply to SteveWebbo

I’ll hit 10k eventually but not in 60 minutes, weight is dropping steadily so it’s getting a bit easier all the time which is a bonus 😁

Did week 1, just about to get out there for run 1 of week 2. It's wet, it's windy, but I'm determined to stay on track so that I can fit in the other 2 this week!!

SteveWebbo profile image

Did the 6k run today as I’m not sure when can run next as I’m travelling . It’s amazing the difference not being dehydrated . I’m buzzing now and celebrated with a wobbly plank πŸ˜‚ I’ll try to fit the 3K in on Wednesday then I’m all set for my first Park run on Saturday completing week 2 . Happy running everyone πŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸƒπŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸƒπŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸƒπŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸƒπŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸƒπŸ»β€β™‚οΈπŸ‘

So I graduated a while ago and like others am looking for structure.. I am managing just about to do my 3 runs every week and run between 4 and 6 km very slowly - well it's dark... It took me an age to realise that I run faster when I can see! My goals are to keep it up, to increase both speed and distance and I am in no hurry... I think you are in week 2 of your magic plan - and I think that I can hook up either by jumping in or by running the plan 2 weeks behind everyone else? What do you think??? A

Yay, week 2 done. A week of windy runs. long run last weekend, speed podcast on Tuesday. We are on half term so I have taken kids to my parents in Suffolk. I ran my last run of the week (5k) this morning around some tracks I have walked a lot (mostly in Wellies) I think I need some trail shoes for the clay! Shopping spree ahead,

I have just finished W3R3 (my running sweet spot is two days on, one day off) and I think that was the closest I've ever come to a runner's high! Suddenly felt full of energy from about the 5k mark like I could keep going for ages, and did a pretty decent time as a result. Great start to a Friday morning 😁
