So the morning run was the 9k run for week 6 of the Magic 10k plan. It was great to get out and run after all the developments of the last few days. As I was running I gave me the chance to reflect on things and to put all the personal disappointments of cancelled holidays, especially the one to see the grandsons in Canada, into perspective. Everybody will have changes and challenges in the coming months and we are just going to have to face up to them and come out of this stronger.
It might have just been me but all the runners I passed seemed to be friendlier than ever, plenty of cheery waves and good mornings all round.
Anyway I was so wrapped up in my thoughts I just kept running and managed 10k in a very respectable time. If I had realised I was running so well I would have speeded up in the last 400metres to beat the hour. Oh well, I have a goal left to achieve.
Take care everybody.

Well done Amblerman. Our daughter who is a permanent resident in Canada won't be able to join us for our April family meet up☹️ To make matters worse she has just returned to Canada from a meeting in the States so will have to self quarantine for 14 days! These stories will replicated millions of times across the world. Guess we just have to get on with it!
It's a shame you will miss your grandson's 1st birthday but aren't we lucky to have the technology to be there virtually. Sounds like a great run and such a tangible target for you to aim for. Happy running
