So my attempt at doing the full 10k was delayed by a week due to some sort of stomach bug. I was well enough to work last week but wasn’t up for running. I did 5k on Saturday to get back in the swing of things, and as a delayed finish to week 7,and was planning to do the interval run and 5k run of week 8 before attempting the long run but I thought, “All I can think about is finally doing the 10k run, why don’t I do that first!?”
So I set off this morning, and to celebrate how long I can run now, I decided not to do half and then turn around for home, but to just run 10k away from home and then get the bus back.
This meant I got to explore the undercliff walk to Saltdean and the completely new path (to me) helped distract from my fatigue.
Also, when I stopped two different friendly dogs came up to say hello. Which was nice.
Anyway, I did it! Whoop!

Congratulations jimmers, what a brilliant run and a good time too. I walked that path many times when I lived in Hove, but it must be great to run it on a nice calm day. 10k whoopie 🏃♂️🤸♀️🏃♂️🏃♂️👏🏻👏🏻🎓🍾🥂🥳
