First run in 9 days

Due to colds on top of colds it's been 9 days since I last ran. Just repeated the 2.5k run of week 1 of the magic plan (I'm so far behind!) Just took it nice and slow but I felt a bit of a fraud when I started running, it didn't feel 2nd nature anymore, hopefully won't take too long to come back!!

Glad you're feeling a bit better and got out to run. Don't worry about where you are on the magic plan you can't help being ill. Just take your time and go through each week. The first run back can feel a bit tough as mine did today but it won't be long until it feels like 'second nature' again. 😊😊

You are neither a fraud nor behind. People start the plan at all different times not just as a group. What a great idea to do a short run, ease yourself in gently. Take care and happy running

SO happy for you that at last you are out again! Well done. It’s never easy after a break & specially when you haven’t been well. Keep on keeping on, one run at a time...and the wow factor will return! 🤗

Hey, please dont feel you are behind... just go through the programme at your own pace, and use the group posts for support etc.... keep at it and you will soon get back in the swing of it.... and take care as your body recovers, be kind to yourself :)

I think I'm going to follow WillowandSola's sound advice, a few more runs just seeing how I feel

Glad you are feeling well enough to run again, it will become second nature again, maybe don’t push yourself to stick to the programme but go out and have a happy run, see how far you get, we did that a few times after recovering from flu and have improved time every run

I've been thinking about this and I think your plan sounds the best. I ran for 20 minutes last night so I'm going to aim for 30 tomorrow and see what happens. If I feel ok and want to carry on to the 5.5k then fine, but I won't put myself under any pressure 😊 glad to hear you're bith recovering well. Can't wait for some nice spring weather!
