First run for 10 days

Finally back out there again after 10 days off caused first by a few days of fever and then a bizarre allergic reaction to something that remains unknown.

Only 4K this morning due to an increasingly desperate need for the loo (despite having been before I went out) but at least I got out.

Hopefully I’ll be back to an uneventful and uninterrupted running schedule soon, but if not I’ll keeping getting out where and when I can. No races planned or other major goals in the works so no problem.

Thanks Deb it sure is. And the rain was quite nice too - I see from your post that you got a dose of that too 😀

Yeah - a load of drizzle. I'm not a fan - I really enjoyed running early or late in the day during the hot weather. It's not so much the wet I mind as the 'grey' outlook.

Know what you mean. I convinced myself I missed the rain as the heat was bad, but really had to push myself to step out into if today so perhaps not as much of a fan after all. I think it’s the psychology of having no jacket right now for me. I don’t feel it’s cold enough for a jacket but doing a warm up walk in t shirt only doesn’t feel right when it’s wet.

Yikes, sorry you had the allergic thing. I hate it when you don’t find out what something is. Glad you’re out running again though

Thanks Flick. Luckily I don’t get allergies often but it’s not the first time and it is unsettling. My theory is my immune system was low due to the fever and I then ate something is normally handle fine. Got some super duper antihistamines now though so will keep some of these beauties back just in case 😀

Definitely good to be out there. I’ve slowed down massively and don’t have much confidence in my running form but I’m not going to worry. Will just keep plodding and I’m sure it will fall into place again at some point.
