Beating Dennis home!

Today I decided to run home from parkrun after volunteering. It was a little further than the magic plan said I should run at just over 9K but I decided it was the most efficient way to get my running done before the storm arrived. Enjoyable maybe isn’t a word I would use, it was uphill and head wind a lot of the way, I had a brief stop at 8.5K for a coughing fit but got going again to finish 9.23K and my first run over an hour long. Other than the strong winds I made it home before the worst of the rain so looking forward to spending the rest of the day nice and warm with a hot chocolate as a treat!

Parkrun volunteering and a magic plan run and over an hour of running. Congratulations and well done 🤗🤗

Glad you made it home before the weather. I don’t think running is going to be feasible from now on for 36 hours or so, at least not here.

Wow very well done. Well done on Volunteering 👍 and well done on your long run, that was a great effort especially considering that you were running into a head wind.

Well done PurpleFish59! Running into the wind is really tricky!

Wow, parkrun volunteering and your longest run - you deserve that hot chocolate! So you’ll get your 60min graduate badge now too!

Great effort in the storm, did you run with all that wet weather gear on?

Absolutely not that all came off after I’d finished standing still! That was another new experience, running with my waterproofs in a backpack

Congratulations on your first parkrun volunteer, running home afterwards and achieving your first 60 minute run. Do ask Ju-Ju for a shiny 1 hour badge. 🏃‍♀️👏🏻👏🏻
