North York Moors tourist run

The Cleveland Way passes close to where we are staying on our holidays this week and Dabby-dot and I decided to run a stretch of it this morning for her final C25K week 2 run. Unfortunately my daughter and I had our run/walks slightly out of sync with each other, but that meant I could catch her running or walking in some of my photos.

The stretch of The Cleveland Way that we covered, though only short, included sheep meadow, woodland trail and a glimpse of open moorland. I went on just a little further than my daughter to find out what lay across the country lane beyond our half way turning point. I’m so glad that I did as I got a wonderful open view across the Vale of York.

I would really like to run this route again before we have to go home but that would mean either running on consecutive days or being up very very early on our last morning…….

Although I live in the beautiful South Downs, I had forgotten how stunning this part of the country is.

That’s my local trail! Whereabouts were you? Do a double run day! It’s a one off!

That sounds beautiful. You’ve been running for a while so you could do two consecutive days. Enjoy 😍

I don't usually run on consecutive days but my NRac plan includes plenty of running on consecutive days. I did a recovery run on Tuesday and hill repeats yesterday and today I'm feeling better than I have in ages! I'd say go for it but don't push too hard 💪🏃‍♀️

Sounds really nice ! And as others have said , I think you have been running long enough to cope with the occasional consecutive day !

The beautiful South Downs are very special but seeing the beauty of that area recently it’s just so stunning isn’t it? To run together there is lovely 😊

It’s lovely that the Dots have been able to carry on with C25K while you’ve been on holiday! And I’ve really enjoyed the descriptions of the scenery that you and all the other lovely HU runny people have been posting! Thank you!

I’ve really enjoyed your posts this week as we’re off to the North York Moors on holiday in September so this is giving me something to look forward to!

That sounds like another fabulous run for you both. I hope Dabby-dot is enjoying her C25K journey. Your description of running a bit further to see what was beyond the lane made me laugh as I know I do that all the time when out walking, I'm glad you were rewarded with a great view. You'll regret not running the route again so go for it 😉
