Oh the grand old Duke of York...

W1R3. As it was the short one, I decided I would tackle the hills, well one anyway.

Turns out the steepest hill nearest to me is about 375m long. I know this because my route tonight was to start at the bottom and run all the way to the top, cross the road and run all the way back to the bottom, cross the road and do it all over again. As I reached the top for the 4th time I noticed I'd run just about 2.7km so took a gentle jog along the flat to recover before walking back home.

Here's to week two, starting Saturday with Parkrun, hoping to get a PB of under 24mins. Wish me luck!

Congratulations that's some way to finish week 1. Funny how we quickly call these short runs when those on c25k call them long😉

I actually dont believe you fear anything, other than the little ones waking you in the night 😉 bet your going to sign up for your 1st 10k and half marathon very soon

I'm googling them!

My intention when joining C25K back in February was to keep up the discipline of running up until easter and put my name in the ballot for London Marathon 2020.

My running dropped off by the end of March so that plan went out the window.

Things are much better since September, Parkrun is helping with that, and so is having a bit of friendly competition with my friend (hence the need to get that PB on Saturday).

So now my plan is to graduate this magic plan by the end of the year, and then enter a race each month throughout 2020 and have another crack at entering London Marathon 2021

I'd forgotten about that little bit of friendly rivalry you have going on. All the best then for Saturday. Great effort with your plans for 2020. Dont let the weather knock you off target

I’m looking for a 10k to target when I finish the magic plan. There are quite a few in London, actually it makes you wonder how anything gets done with the roads closed so often.
