Magic plan - phew!

Glorious morning here on the south coast but still quite blustery- but as you know by now, that seems to be the norm when I go out for a trot! Anyway off I went feeling like a body on tree trunks and thinking I really was going to struggle but after I’d got into my normal slow shuffle pace I just kept going. I even looked where I was going instead of down at my feet (warning - not a good idea when you have very solid Victorian lamp posts on your route!). Head up, shoulders back - it was like being at school again! Anyway I digress. 6.15k later I stopped where I’d started - it was rather slow at 1:04:16 but hey, what else would I be doing! Happy running folks!

It is lovely out today. And nice and cold, so I don't get too hot! Sounds like you had a scrumptious run. Those lampposts - I've walked into them before now - though not actually run into one - that would hurt! 😂

Sounds great Oldgirlruns... I once got clocked on the forehead by a low branch on a run..luckily I was wearing my sunglasses, but it was quite a shock.🤨

Your run....magic!😊xxx

Yes , I know that feeling - I got a branch on the bonce when I was out walking one day. Talk about seeing stars!

Good run for you OGR, I am also doing JuJu's Magic 10, this morning it was the turn of run 3 of week 2, I did the time bit, 39 minutes running slow and steady as there were a few icy patches about, nevertheless like you I enjoyed the run. 🏃🏾 👍.

Pity we don’t live nearer; we could be compatible running buddies, watching the gazelles zip by as we enjoyed the sunshine. 👍😊

Definitely the lull before the storm today Oldgirlruns. Wasn’t it glorious? Well done on your 2nd 6k, just shows you can do it. 😃🏃‍♀️👏👏

Sounds like a really enjoyable run you had. Please don't look down at your feet we wouldn't want you injured and then you'd have to say sorry to the lamppost 🤣

Just shows your built of strong stuff to go out in this weather, especially when you seem to attract it!! 🥶

When youngest kitten was littler I regularly had to move him out of the way of passing lamp posts whilst he looked at other things 😂

Thank you TC ! Those pesky lampposts, eh?!

I know, they jump out at you like something from Monty Python 😂

Sounds like a glorious run, and with excellent posture too! Well done on your 6km and boo to the lamp posts!

Thank you Debston - sorry your run wasn’t quite as planned but I’m sure you’re already working on the next outing! Happy running!

😂 Next run is Parkrun, no early finish as it's all one loop and not near the car park! I have just seen that it's the 200th event so should be a really great atmosphere.

Sounds like you had a lovely run today, I drove past runners today feeling really jealous as it's a rest day for me - went for a long hike in a blizzard instead, so pretty - it was blowing into my back.

Well done Oldgirlruns. Sounds like a very satisfying run. I did my first run since before last week’s ski trip - chilly and breezy but lovely and sunny here too!

Woohoo well done OGR! Fantastic run. 🎉👍🏃‍♀️👊☀️ Bet you’re chuffed to bits you did that. 😀

Wasn’t it a fantastic day? I took advantage of the beautiful weather and did my long run. I even cracked out the 😎

That must feel so good OGR. The winds are a pain but I reckon they make us stronger runners. 💪🏻

Lol, I did a very slow 4.5k in the cold sun where I am sure there were times I was steadily moving backwards and where the wind seemed to be laughing at me as every corner I turned there it was. Still as you say it’s better than a lot of things would be.

Good on you OGR. I run a similar pace all the time at the moment "Running long and slow, the way to go" is my mantra, got a PB of 1hr 5mins last night for 6k. Luckily few lamp posts on my route, but mind the pigs if you run Bramshaw or Nomansland way 🐗🐖 👀🤣 with Dexy and Granspeed . Aiming to get back home to the forest for a few runs when the trail shoes come. It will always be home for me and I still miss the sea.

Thank you Meepmum - yes running by the sea is wonderful!
