The adventure continues. Back home after probably one of my less successful holidays... not being the sort of person who plans everything like a military operation, it was frustrating to find pre-booking required everywhere we went... Anyway, set off this morning in the hope that today's 5k would be more successful. I made sure I drank plenty of water last night and had a few gulps before setting out, the weather this morning was kinder too being a little fresher than of late (and not raining!).
Back on familiar territory after Monday's excursion along Shanklin seafront, I planned out a 5k route which would let me settle in and not worry too much about where I was going. Consciously tried to up the pace a tiny bit, after a few defeats lately in several areas I thought that if I could at least get a couple of decent segment times in then I may have something to celebrate. Fairly uneventful today thankfully, just kept going at a steady pace, and, well, I think the results speak for themselves. The scales have been less than kind to me over the past few weeks, but at least the stopwatch and GPS are going the right way! Roll on Saturday and the 6k...
