Well I set off along the seafront at my usual snail pace, slowing to slug pace after the first km. Why is my toxic ten more like toxic twenty? Anyway, I planned on just 3k today as I wasn’t really feeling it. I got to 3k and though I’d just go down to the end of the prom and soon after that I’d done 4k so I thought I’d got that far I may as well do 5k as by then I was feeling a bit better. That meant I wasn’t quite where I normally stop to do my brisk walk home so I thought I may as well continue on until I was back where I started. Which was 6km - a first for this old girl! It was, of course, very slooow but I just kept trotting along and rather enjoyed it ! I wonder how my knees will feel tomorrow?! Happy running folks!
Phew, what happened there?: Well I set off... - Bridge to 10K
Phew, what happened there?
Oooo well done OGR! That sounds fantastic. 👍🏃♀️😀. Clearly on a roll. 👏👏👏
Are you warming the prom up for us all to run on Saturday for UpTheStanley ’s 100th? 🏃♀️🏃🎉
You went out to run 3k and ran 6k that sounds like a really great run. Great you enjoyed it, I'm sure your knees will be fine. 😊😊🏃♀️🏃♀️
Woohoo OGR! Before you know it 10k will be calling!😋
Well done OldGirl. You have done well. If you've done that, your next target is to run 60 minutes - you can get a shiny new badge for that, and you must be fairly close. I meant to get out today but it didn’t quite happen.
🏃♀️👏🏻👏🏻
That’s brilliant! What a fab run, so happy for you - I love those runs best when I’ve not planned anything major, but it just all comes together. Perfect!
Ah, very good! That’s the way to go. 👍🎉 I bet 10k is starting to call to you... 😊
This is so funny. I do exactly the same thing these days. Just getting lost in the enjoyment it seems to me. Well done. Hope you keep accidentally running further!
That would be nice but my ‘plan’ for this year was to run a bit faster rather than longer! So that started well didn’t it?!
Well I’m a slow runner, and going further did actually make me (marginally) faster, so you never know... 👏🏼😄
Great effort, no pressure at the start so you you just kept doing what you'd learnt to do - run. 😉
Well done OGR. Slippery slope, you will be building to 10k before you know if.
