Short 4.6k run this morning.

Hurray! It’s finally not icy and the littlest is back in Pre-school so I was finally able to go out for a run this morning! And breeeaaaattthhh 😑

A short 4.6k with 8 reps of cadence drills thrown in 😖 All good though... it felt good - once I’d finished 😆. Same again next week apparently. I’ve lost which week I’m on with JuJu, so I’m back to the Garmin plan which seems to be working well for me at the moment. Just glad to get out there. I’ve learnt now that the shorter runs are as important as longer ones and I’m enjoying them.

Oh and (for those of you that remember my last post) my v02 went back up by a point 🤣 - not that I’m taking any more notice of it anymore ☺️

What does ‘8 reps of cadence drills’ even mean?!

A bit like W1R1 but all running just slow and fast variations ?

You do short bursts of fast running for 20 seconds with 45 second recovery runs 8 times.

Fab, well done! And isn’t it amazing that we now think “a short 4.6k run”?! 👏🏻
