Well after 12 days of having family staying while their house is being renovated I finally got out for a run this morning. It was just a 25 minute run but still a run. Decided a short run was best as I wasn’t sure if my daughter and grandson (3yr) wanted me to go swimming with them later in the morning. I was up and out at 7 into a nice rhythm straight away. Felt a bit of discomfort on both of my ankles on the outer aspects. So slowed down which helped. It was an out/back run so by the time I turned they felt easier. Just over 21/2 k run so I’m pleased with that.
Slow and steady she goes 🤣🤣
Happy running or heal and rest well

You did the right thing stopping when the pain started. I’ve had issues with this coming back from injury and I know how frustrating that can feel. Over time, for me, the time I could run for slowly increased and the pain came on less and less frequently. It’s taken a fair bit of strength work to get to that point.
Really good luck with the ankle exercise and your next run 🏃♀️
Ankle exercises being done as I write. I need to be more patient. I’ll try to get less frustrated 😫 but it’s so hard atm. It seems ages since I was able to actually enjoy a run. The family are coming back to stay on Monday so I’ll try a slow jog tomorrow morning 🤞it goes well 😅
