Inspired by VRB’s this morning

It was great to meet up with Oldfloss, Tailchaser, Katnap (sorry I can’t tag you!) and the kittens this morning at Hafan Pwllheli parkrun. I ran it last week at lower tide but my knee really wasn’t up to it today. They were all amazing and inspiring, doing so well on soft sand. I’ve just been out for one last humid shuffle along the coastal path: run/walk 4k to stretch out and settle my knee back in. I’m really going to miss running in this beautiful place with such lovely people too x

It’s getting there, thanks. It’ll never be right, I just need to nurse it through tricky patches x

Thank you! I tried that but it didn’t seem to work?

Lovely meeting VRBs isn’t it ? And to be chief cheerleader is great. Tagging on a phone, as described by Oldfloss , only works on the website , not on the app.

Hope your knee feels better soon.

Aha: I always use my phone, hence the lack of tags! Thank you. Knee is ok: it’s benefitted from the challenges of the week!

It was lovely to meet you too molly! Glad you got out for a bit of a run, hope your knee isn’t going to tell you off too much tomorrow. We did 3k round the caravan park this afternoon and were just dripping afterwards. Judging by the clouds we saw over Snowdonia it was about to break over your way.

Hope you have a good journey home x

Thank you! It was so good to meet you! It was very humid here too. It rained on & of and has just started again but nothing like last week! Enjoy the rest of your trip x

That is an absolutely stunning place! Amazing. Great place, great people... Well done guys.

Well done molly! It does look like such a beautiful place to run!! I’d definitely miss running there too. Knowing not to push too much is a great thing. The strength builds and we get home having run happy. 👌🏽!! ❤️

It really is: I hadn’t been to North Wales since I was a child and it’s blown us all away with it’s beauty

How lovely Molly! The power of the forum bringing VRBs together again! Amazing. 😀

Glad you were able to get a jogette in later. Just a little one is sometimes all it takes. Running is the best. 👊🏃‍♀️👍❤️

Hi molly1973! I add that the pictures don't capture how surprisingly warm it was.

Tailchaser says she runs quicker with me or in a group. Do you get the chance to do more pack running?

molly1973 profile image

Not often: I like the time in my own, to be honest. I am part of a 4-lady relay running Hull marathon so I’m getting across to Hull a few times this summer to run with them. I enjoy parkrun for the atmosphere and group element but still largely run solo.

Lovely photos molly1973 ...how lovely to meet up with the running goddess herself?! Tourist running is lovely isn’t it? It takes us to some beautiful places...and we can share our experiences with each other on here...and occasionally meet up, like you all did! I feel left out!!! I love running at home too though, we have some beautiful places here in Yorkshire and many that are not too far away. Sorry to hear your knee was playing up a bit, I know all about knees! I’m sure a little rest, maybe an extra day will be just the ticket? X

I’m in Yorkshire too: in West Leeds. One of my favourite places to run is the Leeds-Liverpool canal which is a short drive from my home. Where do you run?

Mummycav profile image
MummycavAdministratorGraduate10 in reply to molly1973

Ooo are you?! My favourite place to run is the Calderdale canal...between elland and brighouse...I’m only 10 mins from Leeds on the M621

molly1973 in reply to Mummycav

Ah! Not too far at all then! Which is your local parkrun? I work in Huddersfield so sometimes drive through Brighouse if I’m avoiding the M62
