Morning you lovely lot...first, i must apologise for my neglectful ways over the last couple of weeks, I have been running, albeit brief, but much needed escapism from the mental state December gets itself into!! i know it’s a bit late but..Merry Christmas, I hope you’ve all had a good one. I have, of course, been lurking and have to say the dedication you all seem to have, even through the busiest time of the year has kept me going and inspired me to put down the sellotape, get into my running gear and enjoy the calm all by myself!! Anyway, talking of dedication, at the beginning of the year I set myself a goal of earning a medal a month by participating in virtual runs. The runs I have entered have all been for charity and the entry fees are anywhere between £13 and £20, so, although the amounts are small, added up its a decent amount. I feel lucky to be able to run and love sharing my journey with all of you on here so I thought I would show you the bling I’ve earned over the last 12 months... They’re not the same as running with others, they were little challenges i set myself by choosing distance etc but I am still proud that I have completed the goal i set this time last year.
I just want to say thank you to Admin for giving me the opportunity to join their team, I love my new ‘job!’ and a massive WELL DONE to all of you who have graduated 5/10k, run a marathon, run for 60 mins or you’re just starting out, whatever you have achieved this year is amazing and i have loved reading all about it, you’ve made me laugh, smile, cry (happy tears) and inspired me to get out of the door when i least felt like it and reassured me when i’ve had my doubts. (I’ll stop now before it turns into an Oscars speech!!!)
I want to wish you all a very happy new year, I’m heading down to Cornwall so will be doing a bit of tourist running by the sea and I can’t wait.
Lets all continue to share our stories whatever they are....sending you all my best wishes for 2020.
Happy running xxxx
