If you had told me last Christmas that I would be getting up at 7.30am Christmas Day, driving 20+ miles and running 5km around a park, I am pretty sure I would have laughed in your face. Seems the joke's on me.
In other news, I ran 9km on Monday, the furthest I have ever run. I am climbing towards the goal, with about 5 weeks to go before my 10K runs in February. As long as I can stay injury free, and the weather permits me to continue, I'm sure I will make it.
Merry Christmas.

Congratulations on that run today, I hope you had a wonderful Christmas, I did notice that many runners at the parkruns that were held today, travelled 20 or more miles by car to run a 5K, some people think those runners are mad to run on Christmas Day, however, I don't think they are, all they have got is the running ๐ bug, I didn't run today but
I will be running tomorrow to see off some of the calories I put on today at Christmas Dinner.
I did a Christmas park run today too (at my second nearest park run location but it was one I have not been to), it was huge, over 1300 people! Great weather for it! ๐ Something I would never have been doing last year either...
Great effort driving to your Christmas run, I enjoyed just running out the door, joys of staying in a village over Christmas. Hope youโve had a great day. Happy running
