No running til Christmas Eve

If all goes tonl plan I will be out if self isolation on the 24th. I tested positive on Monday and only got the results this afternoon. It was part if the ONS survey - not normal PCR testing. Odd, because I also did a negative LFT on Monday. Then a positive LFT yesterday, so booked a PCR this morning. No doubt that will confirm the PCR result I received belatedly. Good thing is my runny nose and only very occasional coughing and sneezing have finished - glad for the three jabs, who knows what my symptoms would have been then.

Three others out of 20 ( there may be more by now) from our Christmas bash are positive - Normally I'd've lost to thise odds!

This is what you get for trying to single handedly trying to save the London hospitality industry in one night.

That’s bad news, I’m quite envious of your Christmas bash though, we haven’t been able to have one of those for a couple years, we keep promising ourselves a post covid party but the way it’s going i’ll be long gone before then. Hope you are completely better soon

Oh dear what a pain Rennur! I hope you’re feeling better soon! I’m sure the London hospitality trade appreciated your efforts, they need all the help they can get right now but heck, what a time to pick!

So sorry about this. My eldest was supposed to have his 30th party last night in London but decided to cancel. Just as well, my middle tested positive in the evening so it would have probably been a super spreader event if it had gone ahead. It's scary how fast it's spreading. At least you'll be able to have Christmas! Hope you're over the worst.

Get well soon and glad that your symptoms are not too bad. Our 9 year old boy complained last night of having a sore throat and he had high temperatures. So he has gone this morning for a PCR test. I had planned on doing a parkrun this morning and playing golf this afternoon with my Dad, brother and my Sisters boyfriend. Following this a little family get together. Obviously cancelled those plans.Enjoy Netflix and getting out of isolation on the 24th.

Oh Rennur that is bad luck, although I admire your hospitality saving fortitude! I’m very pleased you don’t feel too bad, and hopefully the days will whizz past. And yes, thank goodness for the 3 vaccines. All the best! 🎄🎄🎄

Sorry to hear you've been ill, although as you say makes you wonder how bad it would be without the jabs! Not long now until 24th and right on time for Christmas - your timing is spot on!I've been poorly for more than 2 weeks now, my PCR was negative but had all the associated symptoms just like you described and feels more than a heavy cold. I ventured out yesterday and was glad to get home and sit down - needless to say, no chance of getting back to running yet.

Good luck with your Recovery and return to running.

Your cold sounds worse than mine (not trying to belittle Covid though) . Look after yourself. I can go into our 30ft garden - but can't wait to get outside properly!

By my calculation running up and down your garden about 550 times = 5k 😃. Feel better.

Sorry to hear that you are off running for a bit with Covid. Thank goodness you had the booster though! Good to hear that you only have mild symptoms and will be out and about for Xmas!

Yep. I'm in your club as well Rennur. I've been ill since last Thursday with head cold and night sweats and tested positive earlier this week. The previous tests were all negative but when I started on the newer tests they were all positive. Great.

I was hoping my 10 days were up today. Sadly not 😫

Luckily no night sweats. I have had difficulty sleeping - except after about 2pm, and at 9am - the latter not so extraordinary for me! I even cut the grass today (small garden!) with my mask on.

Get well. I’ll be looking out for your return!

Sorry to read you're positive, luckily with mild symptoms! I have heard at work other people who went to a get-together, mostly with relatives and where multiple people were positive a few days after. I try to avoid everything myself... feeling a bit isolated, but well... Best wishes!

Thanks Evy. I think I've been lucky thanks to the 3 jabs. I think it might just be a walk on Christmas Eve as I have still got a bit of an intermittent cough. I won't rush into it and get injured.
